Ingredients
- 1 cup prepared brown rice
- 1 cup black beans, drained and rinsed 3 times to remove 30% of the salt. OR, cook your own black beans and avoid 95% of salt!
- 8 oz. tomatoes, diced
- 3 T minced, dried onion
- 1 cup Water
- ½ tsp chili powder
- ½ tsp oregano
- ½ tsp ground cumin
- ½ TSP cinnamon
Directions
- Combine all the ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat
- Cover and cook on low for 15-30 mintutes, until the rice is cooked.
- Stir and serve hot.
