Croatian Roast Pork

5 lbs pork legs
1 cup beer
1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
salt to taste
Directions
Preheat the oven to 425°F.
Wash the pork leg and season lightly with salt.
Score the skin, making a crosswise pattern.
Place a layer of foil on top of a large baking sheet. Grease the foil before placing the pork leg on the sheet.
Pour the oil into a medium saucepan and heat through.
Carefully pour the hot oil onto the pork. Place the pork in the oven.
After 15 minutes of baking, reduce the oven temperature to 365°F. Take out the pork and pour 1/3 cup of the beer on top before returning it to the oven.
After approximately 1.5 hours, pour over another 1/3 cup of beer.
After another 30 minutes, pour over the final 1/3 cup of beer.
Increase the oven temperature back to 425°F. Let bake another 20 minutes or until the internal temperature of the meat reaches at least 145°F.
Remove from the oven and let rest for at least 15 minutes before carving. Enjoy!
